Frequently asked questions
Where is my task data stored?
Tasks, notes, progress, subtasks, daily completion history, and settings are stored locally on your current device. MiniTodo requires no account and does not automatically sync data to the cloud.
How are the three task types different?
Daily tasks are checked again each day and remain in the list when completed. Temporary tasks move to Completed when checked. Long-term tasks can track progress, a target date, and subtasks, then be archived manually when finished.
When do daily tasks reset?
Daily completion is recorded using your device's local date. A task appears unchecked on a new day, while earlier completion history remains stored locally and the task itself is not deleted.
How do I back up and restore my data?
Open Settings → Data & backup, choose Create full backup, then use the system share sheet to save it to Files or another safe location. To restore, choose Restore from backup, review the task, completion-history, and subtask counts, and confirm.
What is the difference between CSV export and full backup?
CSV is intended for viewing tasks, progress, and completion history in a spreadsheet. A full JSON backup preserves the relationships among tasks, daily records, and subtasks so MiniTodo can restore them.
Can I recover data after deleting the app?
Uninstalling the app removes its local data. If you previously saved a full backup to Files or another location, you can restore that file after reinstalling.
What should I include in a bug report?
Please include what happened, steps to reproduce it, the MiniTodo version, iPhone model, and iOS version. If you attach screenshots, remove any task content you do not want to share.
