MiniBook is a local-first, minimalist bookkeeping app. We value the privacy of your financial records and explain clearly how the app handles data.
1Data collection
The current version of MiniBook requires no account and includes no advertising or analytics. We do not collect, upload, sell, or share your ledgers, categories, transactions, notes, or usage data with third parties.
2On-device data
Ledgers, opening balances, categories, income and expense records, notes, and language, currency, and appearance preferences are stored locally on your device. MiniBook currently has no account system or automatic cloud sync.
3Export, backup, and restore
MiniBook creates a CSV export or JSON backup only when you ask it to. The system share sheet lets you choose where to save it or who receives it. Restore reads only the MiniBook backup file you explicitly select. Once a file leaves the app, it is handled under the rules of the location or third-party service you choose.
4System access and external links
MiniBook uses the system document picker and share sheet for export and restore. It does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, or health data. The app opens the system browser only when you choose the Privacy or Support link. From the Support page, you may separately choose an external contact method such as email or Weibo. No ledger data is attached to these links.
5Data deletion
You can delete transactions, categories, and ledgers in the app. Deleting a category also deletes its associated transactions, and deleting a ledger also deletes its transactions; MiniBook explains the impact and asks for confirmation first. Uninstalling MiniBook removes its local app data, but not copies of exports or backups you previously saved to Files or another location.
6Third-party components
The app uses Flutter and components for a local database, preferences, document selection, system sharing, and external links. The current version does not use these components to transmit your ledger data to the developer.
7Children's privacy
MiniBook is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8Updates and contact
If a future version adds cloud sync, accounts, analytics, or other data features, this policy will be updated before those features are released. For questions, email yedaoxiong@qq.com or visit the Support and Feedback page.
